City of Ste-Marie, Quebec (Street Name Signs - Urban Revitalization)

Project involving 602 street name signs and 404 bus stop signs

In Sainte-Marie (Beauce), all 602 street name signs were replaced as part of a revitalization project carried out in conjunction with the town’s 275th anniversary. The municipality modernized its street signage to create a consistent look and update the signs. Approximately 600 street name signs were manufactured and installed as part of this project.

Signs:

The signs are manufactured to the highest industry standards: a panel coated with baked-on paint with a reflective vinyl decal applied on top. 

This offers two major advantages:

Nighttime visibility: Since baked-on paint is non-reflective, the contrast between the reflective lettering and the painted panel is optimal

Durability: Unlike digitally printed signs, those made with reflective vinyl cutouts on baked-on paint do not fade over time. Their lifespan is therefore doubled (and can last up to 20 years!)

Poles:

Combined with Kalifix’s repairable pole technology, this modernization also reduces installation and maintenance costs while extending the lifespan of the infrastructure.
